  1. Love, love love! The very best I've seen. Was going to go for a Berlingo van, but I think you might have converted me...excuse the pun. Would love to make mine a proper hippy den :-)

  2. Excellent. BUT - is there really enough room in the back to sleep two adults stretched out - one a bloke - without having to have the back door open? I'd always thought they were too small...

  3. Well.. I suppose it depends on the bloke, with the front seats forwards I've found there is enough room, I'm 5.8 and the bloke was 5.10 and both fitted easily.

  5. Love your conversion, you've inspired me to think about our van-with-attitude "Tigger". I'm assuming you removed the rear seats, or does the conversion go on top? Is that a "Carannex" on the back?

  6. Yes I removed the back seat, they bolt in when needed. I don't know what a 'Carannex' is...so I assume it's not that!? Is Tigger a Berlingo?

  8. Yes I bought some heavy weight canvas..it's not finished yet though, would like to install a zip. I have an industrial sewing machine so that is strong enough to go through thick and many layers of fabric.

  9. Absolutely love this, thinking of doing similar myself.

Would you mind describing how you attached the the hatchback awning please?

  10. Just about to buy a Berlingo with this kind of thing in mind. Are you thinking of selling this stuff? Ive looked at some small camper boxes, pretty expensive though, might have to get creative!

  11. I was just about to ask the same question! I've got a Bedford Rascal that I'm converting and would love to do something similar with the back end. Your Berlingo is ace by the way! x

  15. LOVE what you've done. I'm in the process of working on my own conversion for my hatchback.
Curious, how did you power the stringed lights? Do you run out of power often?

And how did you go about hanging the curtains, is it a tension rod?
